Don't smash this Amazon deal on Tomb Raider Trilogy

Apr 13th 2011 4:11PM (Joystiq)
I pre-ordered this and I was really excited. I love the Legend and Anniversary games on my PC, but my Kung Fu was weak and couldn't run them properly.

When I got the PS3 Trilogy, I was hoping that the ports would be of either the PC or the Xbox versions (similar to what is being done for the Splinter Cell Trilogy), but that is not the case. The Anniversary and Legends games are PS2 ports while the Underworld game is obviously the PS3 title.

This is my fault for not reading or researching properly but it is something that others might think as well. They are still great games and a good amount of fun, but be aware that the first two aren't going to look very good.

Dirt 3 trailer previews the wicked dangerous Group B Rally

@satn

"also, some of the cuts seem to be made to NOT show detail of if/how damage is done to the bodywork. "

Have you played the other Dirt games? Or any other Codemasters game?! The damage is the most realistic of any racing games to date, and they are not going to change it or make it worse for this release. It will be amazing.

What's that? I'm sorry but I skim read your comment. I was aware that you were saying something but must not have been that interested.

Preview: Need for Speed Hot Pursuit

Andrew, did you play any of the original games? It is fine to compare them to Criterion releases, but how does it compare to the feel of the older titles like NFS III: HP and NFS:HPII? I am curious. Those games were some of my favorite racing games at the time and didn't require exaggerated slow-motion to provide a shock factor. Hopefully a good balance can be found that will please everyone by the time it gets released.

Not sure what games your are talking about. All of the CD games were good: Legend, Anniversary and even Underworld. It sounds like you didn't give them a chance or maybe were not a TR fan in the first place.

This downloadable one looks very entertaining!

Rumor: MW2 recalled in Russia due to 'No Russian' scene [update]

@TheSniperZERO
I did not enjoy the level at all, and I managed to make it through without firing one bullet. But the scene was not pointless nor was the end of the level. It provides motive and drives the entire plot of the game. How are some of you missing this?

@Babel

Anyone with a PS3 that doesn't get Uncharted 2 or RACF:ACIT makes me sad. Also, no beer and no TV makes me something, something...

Already seems like more bad-guy options than Batman ... and Batman controls my life! This one might suck but Baddie versatility has nothing to do with it.
