Toys R Us having 'Buy 1, Get 1 50% Off' sale this week

Jul 27th 2010 10:44AM (Joystiq)
The few times I've checked out these sales at my local ToysRUs, I've noticed many of the games being sold at full price ( as if they were brand new 59.99 ) despite being severely dated and marked down heavily at other stores. What good is it saving 50 % when they make up the difference with over pricing?

Activision taking a wait-and-see approach to Kinect / Move, 'concerned' about high prices

Jun 24th 2010 4:20PM (Engadget)
The announcement of the price instantly decided for me whether I would bother purchasing a Kinect or not. I would be willing to spend 80 to 100, with that being my absolute max. Anymore is useless, I'm better off waiting for a new game system down the road rather then spending so much money on untested/untried gaming peripherals.

41 billion huh?

So at about 30 dollars per game, that's 1.366 billion games.

And that is believable how?

Killzone was awful because of the controls, made the game entirely unplayable.

I stopped at TRU the other day and noticed games marked at full price 49-59.99 that are normally 19.99 elsewhere.

No thanks, I'll be pirating this. Its over priced and emulation offers options that the idiotic developers never to think to include.

AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon goaded into customer service showdown

I hate verizon despite getting a discount through my employer, their shitty 3rd party software essentially limits the function of a phone forcing you to pay for what the phone should essentially come with from the very beginning. The vcast software has never worked for 3 separate phones on 3 separate computers. They also force you into data plans you don't need or would never use depending on the phone you go with. It doesn't matter if you have a wifi capable phone or not... you still have to pay for that data plan.

There's more to starting a cable company than just pirating DirecTV

Hi.

You can easily just split your dish bill in half by ordering a 2 tv setup and then running a cable over to your neighbor yourself. Just split the bill, don't tell dish that, and hide the cables.
