Subway's Fiery Turkey Jalapeno and Steak & Cheese Subs Reviewed
Sep 22nd 2010 10:55AM (Slashfood)Seriously, Subway. A decent sandwich is not that hard to make. Get with the program.
Is Jon Hamm Too Old to Play the New Superman?
Sep 14th 2010 2:34PM (Cinematical)Keep in mind that both Superman and Batman are about this age in their current comics versions. Why not let the movies reflect that? It opens up a whole new range of story possibilities too. It would take an impressive adversary indeed to take on, not only Superman, but a Superman who actually has a few years of experience under his belt.

May 26th 2010 9:22AM (AOL TV)'Lost': An Admission From Producers, the 'Trek' Connection, and Does The Show "Suck"?
May 20th 2010 12:44PM (AOL TV)"I expected more from this show and now that I know I’m not going to get it, I feel entitled to complain."
And therein lies the problem. He apparently enjoyed the show well enough for 5 and a half seasons (enough to continue watching, anyway), but now that the end is here and is not what he expected, the show suddenly sucks. If it sucked so bad, shouldn't he -- as an accomplished writer and critic -- have figured this out much sooner?
Although I'm a fan of the show, I'll readily admit it's not perfect. But critics such as this one seem to have forgotten how major network tv works. The writers, producers, actors, directors of a show like Lost never set out to write a self-contained work of fiction, like a novel or a film. Lost is a tv show, which is meant to be consumed, and is also created, on a week-by-week basis. Characters and plotlines come and go, and Lost is not at all unusual in that sense. The X-Files was similarly criticized for its inability to maintain a coherent plot, and rightly so. But much like Lost, I still remember that show fondly, because episode-by-episode it was almost always an enjoyable hour of sci-fi/drama television with higher production values than most of its competition, higher stakes, and compelling characters.
The difference is that Lost actually makes 23 times more sense in the end (I calculated that number very scientifically) and while a number of threads will surely be left dangling, the overall package as-is has been immensely satisfying to me.
'Lost' - 'What They Died For' Recap
May 19th 2010 8:59AM (AOL TV)re: Lighthouse... Jacob, we're lead to believe. It's his lighthouse, anyway. And really, does it matter who built it? How about a group of Spanish conquistadors built it after shipwrecking on the island. Or maybe it was the Egyptians. Either way, it has no bearing on the show's plot or main characters.

May 14th 2010 9:46AM (Cinematical)As it stands, I have no interest in seeing EVERYTHING in 3D. Would Schindler's List be more exciting in 3D? Will the evening news be in 3D? Can't wait for the 3D editions of Casablanca and American Beauty!
Also, yay for headaches!
