@Nish - Agree. Been burned too many times to fall for the preorder game anymore. I wait until it has been out for a month, then check reviews and player feedback.

Still in beta I see. I'll check back in 12 months.

If the gameplay is there, and it is open to the mod community, I'm in!

I've never understood why, if I buy a game through Steam, it still needs to have DRM on it. That's the whole point to Steam. I should be able to purchase a game and that is my "proof" that I'm not a pirate and should be able to access the game I purchased without DRM.

DRM is not put in by the developers. It is tacked on by the publisher. There should be no reason why it can't be removed for legitimate purchases.

This "new" UBI scheme is just the same old "always connected" DRM that others are now using. I refuse to purchase a single player game that requires me to be online to play it. Even if I have to initially register it online, whether I get to play the game or not should not depend on if I have an internet connection.

Based on Funcom's track record, I think I will wait about a year after release to check this one out.

I'm still waiting to hear how that whole recent Beta thing went....
