'The Event' Season 1, Episode 6 Recap

Glad I wasn't the only one to notice the SFX and one-shot at the end. That was *very* well done for a network TV show.

Did no one else think this sounds a lot like The 4400?

Have you ever read the books? This is all in there. It's a very complex world. It was never going to be as simple as just vampires and telepaths.

Maybe it's just me, but the music makes it seem like it's a porno and everyone's about to get naked and have sex in about 3-5 seconds.

'Legend of the Seeker' Canceled

"it seems like the tube is being scrubbed clean of light, fun, geek-friendly series."

SyFy's been doing good with it's lineup: Eureka, Warehouse 13, Stargate Universe, Caprica. Wish I could say I was getting into Merlin, but I guess some people like it and it fits in with the Seeker crowd.

On network TV, you have shows like Fringe and Flashforward filling the geek-friendly time. Lost is very geek-friendly, but is nearly up. Heroes is kind of it's own fault if it doesn't survive to next season. Chuck might even be lumped into the same category, but it's very much on the bubble.

Geeks have very little to be worried about, in fact :)

ARG, we can't believe we wasted time on that

MarkMonitor is just a brand management company that buys domains automatically for other companies. Apple uses them for instance. WHOIS on this domain is a dead end.

Craig Robinson to Host 'Last Comic Standing'

Hell yeah! I love this show. I don't care if it's "credible" or whatever. It's funny, promotes stand-up, and is a chance, win or lose, for some unknown comics to get their name out there.

Not only that, it should be mandatory that your commenting profile is tied to some off-site profile. It de-anonymizes the comments a bit and that causes less stupid to come through.
