As an owner of both consoles I can say that the ps3 does not compare with the xbox 360.
the first-party games, like gears 2 and halo 3 are unbeatable

Also, the online is ten times better on live.
It's awesome if you have a long friend's list.

I am no fanboy, and have stuck with Sony enough to actually buy a ps3.
Also, I'm not saying that the ps3 sucks, just the 360 is pure awesomeness in a box.

I think wii controls suck for the fps genre, cod3 proved that with the twitchtastic intense concentration controls.
On the other hand, I think dual analog, while sufficient, could be improved like Moptimus Slime pointed out
