BioShock 2 for $49 at Newegg for just 72 hours

Feb 25th 2010 7:49PM (Joystiq)
You do realize the multiplayer is an optional component of the game, right?

Resident Evil 5 costume pack suffers a wardrobe malfunction

I believe Bedrock's comments are more towards the fact that the 360 version of Gold just contains the RE5 disc and DLC codes. Not two separate discs or even one unified disc.

Major Nelson: Original Xbox DLC back online

@Bradwart

Yes it was. With the exception of Splinter Cell map packs (Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory - which may have gone free eventually), DDR tracks, and some of the Halo 2 packs initially, all content was free from the get-go.

Yakuza 3 pitched with pre-order DLC

The Sega PR person mentions it'll arrive as Store DLC eventually.

Metareview: BioShock 2

You hit the nail on the head, regarding my feelings on it.

It was a fun romp. But it felt more like an expansion for the original.

White Knight Chronicles launch DLC ready to go

Feb 3rd 2010 11:36PM (Joystiq)
There's at least $50 worth of Georama stuff on there. I can't tell if it's all accessible in a time consuming matter, or if there's special real money only items.

Think Home, in terms of content and price.

I don't believe the $5 re-customize ticket applies to anything other than cosmetics. Especially since the instruction manual points out how to re-spec your character after you reach level 35-50.

White Knight Chronicles costumes coming to LittleBigPlanet

Jan 30th 2010 5:30PM (Joystiq)
It's going to be there for a while then.

MM already said their intention was to provide tools to create levels, not create a bunch of levels post-launch.

The only reason we got the level packs was to show off the tools and help foster originality using said tools.

God of War II could have been a PS3 launch game

Motorstorm didn't come out till March 2007...

You could have been playing GoW II instead of Resistance or Genji....not much better...

PlayStation Motion Controller's release date moves to fall 2010

Jan 20th 2010 10:58AM (Joystiq)
That's one of the reasons I suspect Eyepet's "release date" jumped from Spring to Fall on retailers' sites.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sony decides to release three different Eyepet bundles: Game alone, Game+Camera, Game+Camera+Controller. With the last maybe being a retailer decision.

'EA is in the wrong business,' ex-exec Lasky blogs

Jan 14th 2010 2:00PM (Joystiq)
Sorry, but no. It doesn't even look like you read the article.

You just read the "EA is in the wrong business" title and assumed he was referring to the quality of viddy games they produce, instead of how the company is currently run (Which is what the blog post was about).

No where does Lasky insult quality titles from EA, other than pointing out some are commercial failures which no one can refute ("...it fell to EA Games to make hits that could move the needle. It's been a very ugly scene, indeed. From Spore, to Dead Space, to Mirror's Edge, to Need for Speed: Undercover, it's been one expensive commercial disappointment for EA Games after another.")
