Jul 2nd 2009 3:55PM (Joystiq)Let's be honest here, he's a "johnny come lately" in the games industry. He speaks well. He dresses, like some like him would dress. In wall street business attire, which is completely un-relatable in gaming. When he talks about his co-workers, his peers, and people that he has to deal with at work. They all sound like a bunch of jealous, annoying, wall street douchebags, and it makes Patcher come off as just a ringing gong of non-sense. Completely out of touch with what's going on -- in gaming.
However, he (and his family) represents a section of the population. Outside of "our little click". Only when he speaks of his family and actually playing games, THAT is when his opinion is important, or correct. That's when he "get's it". That's when he makes sense and is relatable as a person talk about a subject/hobble/pastime that I care about.
Sony's Net Yaroze homebrew PS1 development community shutting down
Jun 29th 2009 9:29PM (Joystiq)Duh.
I mean, the PSP-go is come-in out in Oct, right? PSP make them money, right! Wouldn't you pay $5 bucks to support independent programmers, who are working WITH Sony, to make a bunch of on the go mini games? How easy is it to place some guys Linux version of "Bubble Bobble" on the PSN.
Look, Microsoft is doing the same thing with their "community games", and it's a very good idea. The only difference being that the Xbox doesn't have a handheld, in which you could download the software to. Putting Sony is in the lead with this. But instead, they're making another foolish decision without weighing the options and moving with the times.

Jun 19th 2009 12:46PM (Engadget)Nokia phones are NOT FOR YOU. OK. Because it sounds stupid to keep comparing it to an iPhone. This is getting so OLD. Yes, they both have a touch screen and are shaped like a phone. Duh. Do you expect a cellphone to be shaped like a freakin' orange? I don't want to be married to iTunes... is that ok? And I DO USE ALL those features, why would Nokia add them in if people didn't asked for it? For shits and giggles?
If you love the iPhone so much --- buy an iPhone and shut-up.
