Jake Gyllenhaal made plastic, portable, still dreamy

OMG! I just throw-up a little.

RIAA says consumers shouldn't expect DRM servers to run forever

Jul 30th 2009 6:06PM (Engadget)
So what the hell does that mean? Yet another way of us paying for sh*t we already own AGAIN? RIAA -- We don't need you, no one does. Please die.

The internets present: Michael Pachter FACTS

Jul 2nd 2009 3:55PM (Joystiq)
I have nothing against the guy, personally. I watch "Bonus Round", and from a business stand point only, he's about 80% right. His predictions are always wrong, but at lease he can admit when he's wrong, which is most of the time.

Let's be honest here, he's a "johnny come lately" in the games industry. He speaks well. He dresses, like some like him would dress. In wall street business attire, which is completely un-relatable in gaming. When he talks about his co-workers, his peers, and people that he has to deal with at work. They all sound like a bunch of jealous, annoying, wall street douchebags, and it makes Patcher come off as just a ringing gong of non-sense. Completely out of touch with what's going on -- in gaming.

However, he (and his family) represents a section of the population. Outside of "our little click". Only when he speaks of his family and actually playing games, THAT is when his opinion is important, or correct. That's when he "get's it". That's when he makes sense and is relatable as a person talk about a subject/hobble/pastime that I care about.

Sony's Net Yaroze homebrew PS1 development community shutting down

Jun 29th 2009 9:29PM (Joystiq)
No... I guess I don't. Because what "I" see, is a perfect opportunity to sell "homebrew game legitimately. To bring the "homebrew community" into the fold. Welcoming them, and having them work with you -- instead of having a bunch of intelligent, pissed-off programmers, with time on their hands to take-apart your NEW SYSTEM, and figure out how to steal shit off that.

Duh.

I mean, the PSP-go is come-in out in Oct, right? PSP make them money, right! Wouldn't you pay $5 bucks to support independent programmers, who are working WITH Sony, to make a bunch of on the go mini games? How easy is it to place some guys Linux version of "Bubble Bobble" on the PSN.

Look, Microsoft is doing the same thing with their "community games", and it's a very good idea. The only difference being that the Xbox doesn't have a handheld, in which you could download the software to. Putting Sony is in the lead with this. But instead, they're making another foolish decision without weighing the options and moving with the times.

Sony's Net Yaroze homebrew PS1 development community shutting down

Why would you do that? Wow, I just can't believe how Sony throws away money. I also can believe how they don't see profit in this?

Lack of PSPgo pre-orders bemoaned by UK retailers

Jun 26th 2009 9:14PM (Engadget)
Yes, I too, have a PSP already that I barely use. I don't need 2.

Keepin' it real fake, part CCXVIII: iPhome 3G for the wim!

Jun 21st 2009 7:49PM (Engadget Mobile)
Wow. For half a second, I didn't see it. But I must say, that's the best "fake" yet.

Nokia N97 available tomorrow at US flagship stores

Jun 19th 2009 12:52PM (Engadget)
Yes, you're in the United States, as am I. Where Nokia isn't as big, and people can't see past fresh fruit. Malaysia had a city wide party for Nokia when the phone launched there a month ago. Dubai got the phone first. It's so weird because Nokia has 70% of the cellphone market around the world, and almost NO foot hold here at all.

Look Apple Trolls/Tools

Nokia phones are NOT FOR YOU. OK. Because it sounds stupid to keep comparing it to an iPhone. This is getting so OLD. Yes, they both have a touch screen and are shaped like a phone. Duh. Do you expect a cellphone to be shaped like a freakin' orange? I don't want to be married to iTunes... is that ok? And I DO USE ALL those features, why would Nokia add them in if people didn't asked for it? For shits and giggles?

If you love the iPhone so much --- buy an iPhone and shut-up.

Apple says iTunes syncing only for Apple devices, looks sternly at Palm

Jun 16th 2009 8:54PM (Engadget)
What's the problem? Is the world going to end, just because an non-apple device links with iTunes? Come on Apple, let it go. Can't you just let THIS one go? I mean really, who cares? If you OWN the stuff on your iPod/iTunes and you OWN the Palm Per, I really don't see a problem -- so, Apple stop inventing one.
