WB announces multiplatform Legend of the Guardians game

I've never bothered with tie-in games before, but this one looks to have some pretty interesting combat mechanics.

ESRB describes Crystal Bearers pool minigame

The Revolution went very badly for the States until we managed to put together a decent, European-style army--militiamen weren't cutting it. After that, it was a matter of geography; Britain simply couldn't win a war on that scale that was on the other side of the Atlantice.

The War of 1812 didn't go so well for us either and is regarded as a stalemate only because our leaders FINALLY figured out that only a professional army could stand up to a professional army.

But the Battle of New Orleans? Oh yeah, major ass-kicking there.

Fans creating Star Fox sequel (it doesn't look like a SNES game)

Jul 17th 2009 10:37PM (Joystiq)
What is this "deep storyline" nonsense? The series went down the drain the moment it tried to inject itself with a "deep storyline." All a Star Fox game needs for a plot is this: the galaxy is in danger and the Star Fox team save the day by flying around and blowing stuff up--that's it. No character development, no plot twists, just new places in which to fly around and blow stuff up. Get back to the glory days of the N64.

I gave you an up-vote. It's a major award.

Overheard@E3: Silent Hill will hate me

Jun 5th 2009 12:01AM (Joystiq)
Alright, I wasn't clear enough. The psychiatrist gives you a questionnaire to fill out when you start the game, and the answers you give change certain aspects of the game. The lady cop doesn't KNOW you cheated on a woman, she's just a bitch to you for no reason. Likewise, if you say--again, in the questionnaire--that you have a drinking problem, then a puzzle that would normally involve soda cans will now involve beer bottles. This mechanic is further explained here: http://wii.ign.com/articles/992/992025p1.html

Overheard@E3: Silent Hill will hate me

The game actually changes depending on the answers you give. For example, if you say that you've been unfaithful in a relationship, the first living person you meet is a lady cop who blows you off when you ask for her help.

Help PETA fight seal hunters in World of Warcraft

If these are supposed to be Canadian seal hunters, why are they talking with phony Southern accents?

I'd like to add my own request: that they return to survival horror and make us keep careful track of our ammo supply.

NYCC 09: 38 Studios panel

You'll get no argument from me, Josh. Puzzles and more hands-on combat might take some of the pain away from grinding--and just think of the possibilities boss battles would offer.

See the Call of Duty: World at War 'Nazi Zombie' mode

Oct 28th 2008 11:30PM (Joystiq)
I think a similar mode should be in future installments of Resident Evil.
