Next Monday is Mega Man 9 Monday

Sep 19th 2008 8:13PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Hey Chris,

I can't find the article again but MM9 is supposed to have challenges the same achievements for the 360 version and dlc to play as proto man is coming out on oct 6th. Can you help to confirm this?

Activision planning annual Bond games, 300% more Guitar Hero content

Sep 16th 2008 7:01PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Well this clearly shows what happens when actvision gets a hold of brand names. It kills the brand. Tony Hawk was neat when it came out but then it seemed like there was a tony hawk game every 6 months.

So far EA is working well with harmonix not to kill rock band off.

Rock Band 2 is worth the money. It's better to wait until the GH: World Tour Disc is not 60 bucks.

But overall it's nice that sony stepped in as well as microsoft to make sure you don't need two or more of each plastic instrument to be able to play the games.

Video goes through all of Home's features

How big is the home beta a gig or under a gig? Is it over a 2 gigs? Just curious...

Save those Wii Points: Samurai Shodown Anthology releases this winter

Sep 12th 2008 6:27PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
This is awesome!! I remember this was supposed to come out last year. maybe they needed some more time to get the emulation better.

Being a huge samsho fan and not having to use mame to play a hopefully uncut version of samsho 5 would be awesome.

Rock Band guitar compatibility & music export patch now live

Sep 11th 2008 4:12PM (Joystiq Playstation)
ps 3 fanboy this patch also fixes missed notes in some dlc songs and lowers the gold star cutoffs on songs too!!!!!!!!!! those are two pretty important things to mentions as well.

Sony: Music peripherals to work across games on PS3

Aug 18th 2008 2:37PM (Joystiq Playstation)
This is some of the best news in gaming in a long time. Sure, it might have been coming. But sony could have taken the same neutral route and have pissed off gamers.

It would be nice if they still could put out that patch so I could use my les pual in rock band 1 and hell maybe use the start in gh3 I'd be happy :).

Also, Toby Actvision mentioned at thier E3 conference that they are going to remap their songs so that the rb drums work with gh world tour just fine.

Happy Day. I wonder what shortly means this week would be nice. Rock Band 1.05 patch and a 1.12 patch for gh3 would be nice by thursday if possible.

Yoda as DLC for Soulcalibur IV, says Korean PlayStation site

Jul 28th 2008 7:37PM (Joystiq Playstation)
This is awsome! I'm glad this is starting to leak out. Becuase it's down to have to have a 360 if your a Yoda fan. This makes me want to buy Soul Caliber 4 now. If Yoda does pop up as DLC and Vader for 360 then gamers finally don't have to comproise for a multi-platform game.

I don't mind paying since the 360 people have to pay the same price therefore it's equal like Rock Band DLC. Win win overall.

I check Wii fanboy about 5 to 10 times a day. On good news days I check it upwards to 15 times a day.

Dead Rising to eat brains of Wii gamers

Jul 16th 2008 3:57PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Best news all day! I just got down to this part of the blog but wow! Only if they port Ninja Gaiden 2 to the ps 3 I'll be happy.

Anyways I hope it comes out soon as in fall or winter 2008. I wonder if all the enemies will be intact. Meaning that was the big selling point of the 360 version. Since the system could display such a large number of enemies on the screen at once. Besides that if this game ends up being better the 360 version then I wonder if titles like ninja gaiden 2 could be ported. Ah I can't wait to see videos of this in action.

Neil Goldman wants you to sign a Final Fantasy XIII petition

Jul 15th 2008 9:02PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Technically, final fantasy games have gone multiplatform before ff13. I mean look at the ps 1 re-releases. I clearly understand that they had been out as first nintendo exclusives on the snes but really nobody complained about those games on the ps 1.

It's still on the ps3 and will probably have trophy support, maybe even it's own home room. I don't understand why people are so upset. I mean multiplatform helps the brand out. It's also good to point out that it's just been announced it doesn't mean it's going to better.
