Lord of the Rings Online a contender?

Feb 17th 2007 2:40PM (Joystiq)
I lost interest in this game when i heard that there would be no pvp.

Also since this is based on an existing license it limits the creativity of the devs, (I know wow is technically based on an existing license too, but Blizzard owns that so they can do whatever they want to the story) whereas the devs for LOTRO will be constrained by the Tolkien license.

Also no game will be able to even come close to the amount of subscribers WoW has or stealing away a chunk of it until people realise one of the many reasons that WoW has so many subscribers is because it has such a low system specification. Look at WoW, its able to run on a Pentium 3.

Pfft, they should have just hired Phoenix Wright and he would have finished it in 3 days.

(Although to be fair Phoenix Wright should only be about 14 right now :P )

Anime homage to Phoenix Wright

Saw this a while ago, i wasnt sure whether it was refrenced to Phoenix Wright or just lawyers in general. That episode was probably my favourite so far- oh and btw dont watch that video if you are following the series and havent watched up to episode 8 in TV order.

Wii impressions: Wii Sports -- Tennis

May 10th 2006 3:37PM (Joystiq)
VaultedCeilings hit it on the head, of course you'll get the true sports games eventually (EA have a separate divison just for the conversion of Wii games)

I doubt i would buy this separately but if it were bundled along with the console- i would definately have fun with it. I wonder is this will have WiiConnect24 functionality? I doubt it, but im willing to bet all the realism sports games definately will. ;)

I don't think i saw anyone at the Nintendo Conference using the nunchuck add on for this which i am glad for, will be interesting to see the different single-chuk games they can make for the Wii. The movement system sounds easy for beginners to understand, allowing beginners to jump in easily.

Yeah i was thinking- what exactly did he mean by 6 degrees? Did he mean as in z,x,y axis or by 6 degrees tilt? if its 6 degrees tilt then its kind of pointless as there isnt the much you can do with only 6 degrees of motion either side.

Overall its just a rushed attempt at copying the Wii controller- only Sony didnt manage to get past all of Nintendo's patents in the limited time they had to develop a new controller.
