Applepeels on those times we're glad we got a Mac

Oct 16th 2006 2:43PM (TUAW.com)
I had to copy the profile of one mac to a new macbook, install windows, and copy the profile of a Dell to the macbook windows install.

Guess which one took 30 mins and a few clicks, and the other, six hours.

iTunes: From 0 to 7.0

Sep 15th 2006 2:19AM (TUAW.com)
There were a number of point updates to iTunes 4. Windows support was added around 4.5 and Podcasting was added in 4.9

PlayStation 3 launch delayed for Europe and others

Sep 6th 2006 4:55AM (Engadget)
Doesn't affect me; I'm not going to be buying one of them anyway. Sony are dead in the water. My local GAME store is scheduled to only get 2-5 PS3s (Yes, 2-5 for a busy game retailer expected to sell thousands)

Apple settles iTunes interface lawsuit

Sep 3rd 2006 9:21AM (Engadget)
BTW, the Apple HIG states that dialog buttons should not use Yes/No, OK/Cancel, but distinct words to answer the question. In this case, "Do not Settle" And "Settle". Also the negative button should have double spacing from the other button for safety. OTOH, iTunes doesn't follow any of these rules at all, so you're spot on! :3

Get Edge in the U.S. cheap(er)

Aug 31st 2006 4:41PM (Joystiq)
The only magazine I read, the only one I can trust hasn't been paid to rate every game a 98%, or feels that they have to rate every game 98% to get any readership.

Edge rarely give games a 9/10 and only a handful of games have ever been given 10/10 (often this is a great controvsey) i.e. Super Mario 64. Gran Turismo.

When Edge rate a game a 9, or a 10, you know you can safely put the magazine down, go buy the game, and not be disappointed. The American press has a lot to learn from Edge.

Snapz Pro updated for Intel Macs

$69? You are having a laugh, right? If I learn Coccoa programming, I'm going to have a stab at making a freeware screen recording app and kill their business. $69 is obscene

Memory Lane: 1980's kids show talks gaming craze

Aug 22nd 2006 3:19AM (Joystiq)
Isn't it great that in the future, we won't have any videos of 2007 and beyond because of DRM and Broadcast flag. Looks like the nostalgia business is going to kill itself.

MacZot and Disco ask you to trust them

Aug 18th 2006 4:15PM (TUAW.com)
Site is broken in Firefox, use Safari to register. I ponied up, since I like to get any app at a discount. I got Parallels before the price went up, $3 off of AppZapper from PhillRyu's blog, and whatever this new apps turns out to be, I hopefully will have saved me a few notes in the chance that it's a must have :)

CocoaFox Minefield

Aug 17th 2006 10:29AM (TUAW.com)
I think you misunderstand. Minefield is the name of the trunk. It's not a cocoa-spin off. Cocoa widgets in webpages are being planned for Firefox 3, which is currently on the trunk and hasn't been branched yet.

Apple releases Boot Camp 1.1 beta

Aug 15th 2006 8:17PM (TUAW.com)
It's also increased in size quite dramatically (85MB > 202MB)
