As if so often said on the internet, "I'm not a lawyer". But your closing argument seems to assume that Blizzard doesn't offer up robust game modification tools.

This couldn't be further from the truth. The world builder that Blizzard offers in StarCraft 2 is arguably one of the most in-depth engines seen to date. At any given point, a player can log in and browse through the Custom Games section and instantly have dozens upon dozens of unique game experiences, created by people not in the employ of Blizzard and created without modification of the actual code. Prime examples of this are "Ling Ling Rocket!" [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N34zl3o5lTQ ] and "Battlefield Egypt" [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2KzABG26PE ], both games created within the bounds of the EULA and both vastly different experiences than your standard SC2.

I would argue the fact that within moments of loading the game any individual has both the option and opportunity to "reasonably experiment with the product and create new variations of play for personal enjoyment so long as it doesn't interfere with the game experience for other players", without ever crossing the line and modifying the actual game code.

And just to follow my own comment up:

Arguing the point of "It's bad because it's Taliban are shooting Americans'n shit" is stupid. It isn't like being on the 'bad guy' side will suddenly have religious/ anti-American propaganda pouring out of your speakers.

It's no different from BFBC2, playing 'X' versus USA. It's just a skin, and MAYBE different guns.

America's Army was always set up so that no matter what team you are on, the enemy team are Taliban/ insurgents. So, looking at it from an outside view; you are ALWAYS playing as the Taliban to the other team, just as they are always the Taliban to you.

I don't really see the difference between that and this. You are a floating gun, shootin' dudes.

I'll be trying out the Assassin when I finally get the game, so let's say that. I mostly just want to win for a code, heh.

I watched a video of somebody making a bacon-weave, wrapping it in a giant bologna log and frying it up. I attempted to duplicate this feat, to disastrous results.

But now I can make a proper bacon-weave, is damn good.

Somewhere, Ryan Scott is flipping out right now.

I hope the fishing is awesome in this game. I will do nothing but fish if it is.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who seems to be linking this to Freelancer. That game ruled. I'm gonna have to peep this.
