In short, it's only blue when you turn it on. I speculate that won't be the case for the final version of the hardware, but for now, this is what we've got.
My first day playing Brain Age, I had an age of 33. The next day, I was at age 20. It nearly depressed me because I thought it would take longer to attain that age, but I am still loving the game, especially sudoku. The new training challenges I get from earning more stamps are incentive (if nothing else) to keep playing every day.
