Mar 31st 2012 4:10PM (Joystiq)You think that but they're losing out on a market by not having dubs. It's easy to get someone to not buy Yakuza by just saying there's not english voices.

Mar 30th 2012 3:43AM (Joystiq)Well in all fairness it would be subbed rather then dubbed (see Yakuza or Record of Agarest War [which is also my complaint about those two games]). It's only as understandable as you are a fast read. I'm not the fastest of readers either.

Mar 29th 2012 6:16PM (Joystiq)Well my 3DS had to be replaced so I lost the few people who I added on Joystiq, but thinking now there was no real point. They either weren't on often or I didn't really know them through the comments.
I guess I'll give it a shot now.

Unchained Blades going to 3DS and PSP as a digital release
Mar 29th 2012 4:24AM (Joystiq)Many people dislike when a game isn't in English. With my friends only 3 prefer Japanese voices and 2 don't mind. 24 people will not buy a game if there is no english voices. The 3 who prefer Japanese voices still buy the games with English dubs.
This is within my group of friends, but if you want to take into further account I spent a day at Gamestop scaring people away from Yakuza 4 by simply saying it was not in English.
Unchained Blades going to 3DS and PSP as a digital release
Mar 29th 2012 4:20AM (Joystiq)So people like me will buy it.
People who want the game will get it. People who like this genre but want to be able to understand the game will more then likely buy it with the added English voice.
Random people who no nothing are less likely to buy a game if it's not in English. I've scared away many of people from Yakuza by saying it's not in English.
