Raid with the big boys

They are all too busy raiding to comment. As much fun as it was, I had to quit WoW because raiding took up so much of my time.

Nintendo DS on TV, it sure ain't purdy

Aug 25th 2006 11:00AM (Joystiq)
Yeah B, I remember having to stack 2 TV's to play my N64. I think they forgot to pack in the stylus so I never really figured out how to use the touch screen.

So what is the point of displaying the DS on a TV if you have to look down to use the stylus on touch-screen intensive games?

Pac-Man wakka wakka wakkas XBLA

Aug 9th 2006 2:46PM (Joystiq)
Pac-man is a good game and all but I would rather go to Burning Man and ride the car art then pay to play it on XBLA. Of course I don't own a 360 so it would be kind of an expensive investment, but if I did then $5 would probably be stretching my limits on what I would pay. I have to hand it to MS though, at least they are releasing stuff for it.

IGN, Gamespot review score inflation revealed

Aug 7th 2006 2:13PM (Joystiq)
I have not been to one of these review sites in quite a while but maybe this 'adjustment' is for advertising purposes. Perhaps if they had the balls to post scores that actually looked bad instead of an arbitrary average, some of thier advertising clients would get upset. Same deal goes for magazines, I think I read that EGM has been grilled in the past for thier somewhat more brutally honest reviews.

NES emulator for PSP with Wi-Fi multiplayer

Jul 5th 2006 4:29PM (Joystiq)
All this proves is that gaming is still about the games -- and PSP owners are willing to risk breaking the law and ripping off other people to play good games.

Nintendo of Korea opens July 7th

The logo displayed as the image of this entry seems to contain the I-Ching trigrams for force, gorge, field, and radiance. I am not sure of the source of the image itself, nor am I an expert on the I-Ching but it does seem quite curious.

What definition of gimmick do you have in mind? People throw around that word like its always a bad thing.

Forgettable moments in Nintendo history: "Do the Mario"

Jun 22nd 2006 9:50AM (Joystiq)
"Anyone remember that game show where if you and your partner were the winning team, you got to run thru a maze with a velcro suit and grab games before the clock ran out? I forgot what it was called..."
