Fashion Rules Board Game: a Stylish Alternative to Monopoly

Dec 2nd 2008 9:55PM (Stylelist (Main))
Well, certainly not typical in topic, but the board set-up certainly looks like very much like Monopoly / Pictionary / Trival pursuit. Why don't you try some other more interesting games like Wits and Wagers ( http://www.starlitcitadel.com/games/wits-and-wagers.html) (a knowledge game with betting on the winner included!) and Settlers of Catan (http://www.starlitcitadel.com/games/strategy-board-games/settlers-of-catan-series/settlers-of-catan-4th-edition.html)?

EVE Online: the board game?!

Sep 8th 2008 2:56PM (Massively)
The $75 is MSRP. Most online stores, like mine (http://www.starlitcitadel.com) will be able sell it to you for below MSRP - generally about 30% off.

As a former Eve player, I'd be interested in seeing how it actually plays out since there's just so much to do in Eve. I wonder what they focused on? Or is it going to be another massive; do it all; kind of board game?

Never got around to playing this, though I have heard a lot of good things of the base game and all its expansions. I find infrstructure and rail games quite interesting, but I agree they sometimes lack in direct player interaction. I much prefer games like Louis the XIV and Kingsburg for that.

Off the Grid reviews Chrononauts

Hi Scott,

Wow, there's a ton of board games to suggest. Pretty much anything by Reiner Knizai will be fun - try Tigris & Euphrates to start. I'm a fan of Modern Art too. Also, I noticed no Settlers of Catan. Too obvious? For something more complicated, there's Caylus (or the card version, Caylus Magna Carta) and the Princes of Florence. I've got a list at http://www.starlitcitadel.com/games/top-ten-games.php which mentions a number of these. Feel free to drop me an e-mail if you have any questions.
