I would like to point out the Famitsu numbers Joystiq posts weekly add up to 500k+ as of December 25 (~50k more than these numbers) and those are supposed to be sold, not shipped.

Blu-ray movies will work fine so long as movie studios don't start using the ICT (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-ray_Disc#Digital_rights_management)

In all reality the only feature that the $600 model has that the $500 CAN'T is HDMI (which is a moot point to all those people who say they don't care about Blu-ray.)
