Zippy, if you had said free targeting in FO3 was broken, I'd have agreed with you, but VATS worked perfectly. You may not have liked it as your only really viable combat option, but to say it was broken is just false - it worked as it was intended to. And seriously, why do you even bother gaming? I'm honestly not trying to be a dick, but it seems that your standards are impossibly high. I'm not saying that games don't have flaws - most of them do, to some degree - but you appear to be picky to such a high level that one must assume you find very little fun to be had in gaming.

And, for the record, for some folks (myself included) story is pretty much the most important aspect of a game, and it is definitely enough to make up for the admittedly rather pedestrian shooter mechanics and AI on display in Bioshock. I also agree with you that Batman:AA was great, but to consider it so vastly superior to FO3 or BS or DA or ME2 just seems completely arbitrary (to me).

Boy, you're right, Zippy! That highly acclaimed game just dripping with atmosphere and a killer story that ended up on a boatload of GOTY lists sure did suck! Damn consoletards!

I doubt it's an April Fool's joke, but there is an absolute distinction between PSN and internet. My wife has a profile on my PS3, she has never even signed up for PSN, but she can surf the net with the machine. Haven't you ever brought up the web browser during a PSN outage? Or, have you ever signed in, started a PSN download, and signed right back out? Your download continues, because you are still on the internet, regardless of whether or not your signed into PSN. They are separate features.

I don't know. I thought Ico, SOTC, and Okami all looked amazing from the get-go.

But I agree with your initial sentiment: HD Black = I'm there.

I would like a plasmid that would turn cell phones into deadly explosives if used while driving. I will pay handsomely for this, and seriously, if one more jackass almost hits me because they're yammering on their phone, I'm gonna start ramming people into trees. Hmmm...I guess then I wouldn't need the plasmid. I still want the swag, though!

Danielewski. I love that book more with each re-reading. I'm still working on a House on Ash Tree Lane level for LBP, but it's a bit challenging, to say the least.

I actually liked the Alien one the best. It was the shortest, unfortunately, but once I got the hang of controlling that crazy thing, it was immensely satisfying to run up on a Marine and impale him/her on my tail. It's a way better game than the demo implied, in my opinion.
