Fable 2 expansion delayed until 'late January'
Dec 18th 2008 9:23AM (Joystiq)Given Lionhead's and Microsofts history, they most likely were absolutely certain the DLC wouldn't be ready in time, just like the DLC for Grand Theft Auto 4 never made is FALL 08 release.
And much like Epic, maybe they should worry more about fixing the existing bugs than selling people extra content.
By the way, the complexity and scope argument is bullshit. Many things are complex and large in scope, get over it. Would you happily make excuses for the man building your house if he kept running over schedule? Would you say, oh, that's ok, because house building is complex and difficult. Molyneux keeps promising the world and delivering little and will continue to do so in part because of sites like Joystiq who continually give him, Lionhead, and its publisher, Microsoft, a free pass and happily trudge out the 'difficult and complex' argument.

Nov 29th 2008 6:49PM (Joystiq)NO, the game is NOT unplayable. It does NOT run like a slideshow. If you install it on the hard drive, load times are rarely over 3 seconds for anything. Battles have a bit of slowdown but it's less than what's in Mass Effect during busy fights and since Last Remnant's turn-based, none of it matters anyway. There's a small amount of texture pop-in but that really doesn't matter when it takes all of 1 second to show up and it's on the same level as Mass Effect.
The game is NOT broken."
I've been playing this game for a few days now and completely agree. Load times are so quick w/ install that I don't have time to read the tips/hints they put on the load screens. The texture pop in is nowhere near as bad as Mass Effect and nobody seemed to mind for that game. And it is turn based, so the slowdown has no effect on the gameplay whatsoever. And I know this is a novel idea, but before you say that the game is unplayable, maybe you should try actually playing it first?
