Kitase: Final Fantasy VII remake 'unrealistic,' would take too long to develop
Feb 20th 2010 10:27PM (Joystiq)The story and script would also need to be reworked, because really, as amazing it was back then, some of it is a little laughable by today's standards.
As far as gameplay mechanics go, everything would need to be thrown out the window, and a new system would have to be created that attempted to bring back many of those classic elements, while playing like a modern game.
Very few outside the diehards waiting for this remake want to play an old-school turn based RPG, so obviously the game would need to look and play like a modern audience expects.
