i understand that, but if you rememeber the models for jc and alex, they had very similar markings on their faces. the other UNATCO agents looked very, very different..very mechanical and very obvious. the protagonists image (assuming that is him) bares a striking resemblence to the brothers making you wonder if the developer can even make a difference between them or are just going for a "copy cat" of the first two.
i hope the game turns out well, but when developers have to dig into prequel territory to deliver another game in a franchise, i take a very cautious stance on how it will come out.
yeah, the only problem with that is the dveloper didn't play the first game.
there's a conversation early stating that the first two nano-augments had came into field testing (JC and his brother Alex). all of the older augmented used rather grotesque biomechanical enchancements to become physically superior. remember the poor german and eastern europian sterotypes?
basically, the premise behind this game sounds like a poor excuse to revisit the deus ex world...which is too bad because i loved the first game. second wasn't too shabby either.
"A monkey could be a super hero to a kid if they market it good enough".
wow...that seems pretty straight forward to me.
"I think he wants to make a superhero with a resemblance to him or to his son. Some people do that although that breaks a rule of storytelling “Make the audience identify with your main character”."
it seems that most assuredly is not correct. he said he wanted to make a hero that he wishes he had when he was younger. basically that means the type of person he idolized wehn he was a kid. if he's latino, then so be it.
...but i still don't see what race has to do with fantanstic moral fiber.
kinda pisses me off that he's gotta be latino, what does it matter? a super hero is a super hero, i can't think of a time when ethnic background even became a question.
