Seen@GDC: Ken Levine is a total rock star

That's me with the orange backpack.

I accidentally stepped on Ken's foot when we moved in to take a picture.

Good question: why doesn't the Xbox 360 have its own browser?

Uhh, because Microsoft is trying to encourage people to invest in HTPC's with MCE installed?

Half-Life 2 gets all tactical and stuff

@10

Alliance has all that (with regards to realistic weapon stats) and then some. You can even use a browsable in-game menu and do searches for weapons based on projecticle distance, magazine capacity, size of the round, etc. It's pretty badass.

And glad you liked the article Phatcat. I'll be sure to make the changes you requested.

It's absolutely Donny Osmond. Good eye.

More goodies:
-The Wikipedia page he edited was for Atlantic Records
-Osmond and Al dance in front of Schrödinger's wave equation for hydrogen
-On the Trivial Pursuit card:
1. (Geography) In what city is the largest ball of twine built by one man?
2. (Entertainment) What's the deal with Lindsay Lohan? I mean, seriously?
3. (History) F.D.R. -- Was he faking it?
4. (Arts & Literature) On what page does Harry Potter die in the next book?
5. (Science & Nature) What is the melting point of a gorilla's head?
6. (Sports & Leisure) How many Wicket men are there on a 43-Man Squamish team?
-MySpace Friends: Bill Gates, Napoleon Dynamite, Mr. Peabody, Albert Einstein, Screech, Frodo, Pee Wee Herman, and of course, Tom Anderson

Although, mad props for the Virtual Boy. Oh, I loved that thing. :(

Amazing Crysis (PC) comparison pics

Hmm, to be honest, nothing I saw of the game at E3 looked that good. Still, probably the best looking game at the show, but those shots are a tad suspect.

On that note, yes, I agree. Polygon count and per-pixel shading are so 2004. New titles really have to show something entirely new in the visuals dept. to get a rise out of me.

Diablo 3 at E3, hints IGN ad [update 1]

May 3rd 2006 1:29PM (Joystiq)
Yes, Blizzard is working on Diablo 3. That's a given. Earlier this year, they were doing preliminary artwork for the game. Will we see something at E3? Possibly a teaser trailer, but don't expect more. Is IGN mistaken to post this ad? Whatever makes them money, I guess...

Nintendo World Store to stream E3 briefing [update 1]

May 2nd 2006 8:32PM (Joystiq)
So let me get this straight. I live in New York, and we have all of three big gaming events in the course of the year. But the week of E3, while I'm out in Los Angeles, Nintendo schedules an event in the city.

Awesome. Thanks guys.
