Wii U graphics chip outed as last-gen Radeon (which is still pretty good, apparently)

Jun 14th 2011 4:27PM (Joystiq)
@MEMgrizzlies7

I'm right there with yea, I think the Wii looks great.

Far too many people place emphasis on graphics, but in reality all I ask for is that the system plays natively on my TV. The Wii U does this and more, but my only hope is for more 3rd party support.

I'm excited to see what Nintendo does with their online component and if it can at least match or surpass PSN (with their recent outages, this shouldn't be hard).

Power to Nintendo!

Age of Empires Online beta download public until Saturday morning

I'm surprised how many gamers are put off by styling and color graphics. I'm very surprised with how beautiful the game looks. On top of that, I'm really enjoying the beta quite a bit.

It's the same font they used in Fate, not torchlight.

I've spent maybe 300 hours total playing World of Warcraft. I can only enjoy WoW for so long.

Torchlight 3 out before Diablo 3, Runic CEO hypothesizes

@FredFredrickson

Torchlight II is not the MMO. It allows for a few players to play with you, not hundreds. This is purely an encore due to how positive their sales have been. The MMO is still in development and being developed along side the torchlight sequels.

@Haywire

We do not need to flood the market with more mainstream high fantasy RPG's, "realistically" cheesy military FPS games, or crazy awesometastic rhythmic masturbation games.

Game Developers Choice Online Award nominees announced

Heroes of Newerth should of been nominated as well. I play both LoL and HoN and I find Heroes of Newerth to be far more of a polished game. Less bugs and much better balance.

Preview: League of Legends, Season One

I too agree though that Joystiq never covers Heroes of Newerth. I can not tell you how many articles I've seen about LoL while HoN is pushed tot he side. There does seem to be some favoritism there considering Dreamhack and the retail release of HoN back in May. Neither of these events were covered or talked about.

All in all, I think I've seen a half a dozen articles on LoL and maybe one on Heroes of Newerth.

@Nadril

Agreed, I highly prefer HoN over LoL. I don't think LoL is a bad game, but imo it just lacks some of the punch of Heroes of Newerth.
