I'm picking it up right after work!

Journey travels to PS Plus members one week early

Yes yes yes!! Another great perk for PS+ members! I was bummed when I read it would be another 2 weeks before this was released. Best news I've gotten all week.

Sweet! Been watching this game ever since they first announced it. Day one purchase for sure.

Twisted Metal review: On cruise control

Agreed - and it's a shame because I was really looking forward to this. I have some fond memories playing TM Black with my high school friends. Wish they didn't screw this one up.

Twisted Metal review: On cruise control

The single player mode sounds obnoxiously frustrating, and that's enough to keep me from getting the game. Every game needs a balanced, fun single player campaign before great multiplayer. As far as I'm concerned, multiplayer is supposed to be the icing on the cake, not the main attraction.

New Resident Evil 6 details, freshly imported from Japan

@bleiss

Yeah, more like here's hoping the single player doesn't force you to work with frustrating AI partners and inventory swapping, and that the co-op adds a new dimension of gameplay to the campaign. THAT would be very nice indeed. :-)

Don't think so, otherwise it wouldn't be an import. (X4 was released in NA for the PS1). Haven't you noticed the other PS1 ports of the old NES Mega Man games?

Metal Gear Solid Rising now Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, developed by Platinum Games [update]

Dec 10th 2011 5:42PM (Joystiq)
Really should've just been called "Metal Gear Rising" - simpler is better, and subtitles aren't necessary. I'm glad that they've moved past the "Solid" moniker. But "Revengeance" is a really, really bad choice of subtitle - for the Western audience at least. I wouldn't be surprised if the name changed again all of a sudden, but maybe that's just wishful thinking... Game will be amazing I'm fairly confident, but it needs to have loads more gameplay and fewer cutscenes. It's definitely NOT going to be a run-of-the-mill hack-and-slash title. Anyone who thinks that should look at the few seconds of gameplay footage they've shown us so far.

Skyrim is 2011's most-played game, according to Raptr

@kentuckyfried

My save files are somewhere between 8.9 and 9.2MB. I probably started noticing some performance issues at the 7MB mark, but it wasn't until recently that I became frustrated enough to put the game down.
