Happy Birthday Joystiq! I started reading AFTER listening to the podcast through iTunes.

I wonder what G-Unit's role will be in this "story". Will they provide 50 the epic fist pounds necessary to fight his way out of the Middle East?

I don't understand why everyone in the industry seems to go on and on about how awesome the 360 controller is. It's okay, but I don't know how I'm supposed to play anything 2D with it. Castlevania SOTN was painful.

My heart goes out to Chris. I've spent my whole adult life looking EXACTLY like Jake Busey. Anytime that dude is in the background of another forgettable film someone comes up to me and says "you look like that guy in Starship Troopers." It is pure hell. Why can't I look just like Brad Pitt?

I have a newfound respect for Chris after hearing that he read and enjoyed Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. I had doubts about his reading habits after the "things in high school weren't difficult for me" rant in an earlier podcast (which led me to believe he reads nothing but Thomas Pynchon). Hopefully during another slow week they can talk about graphic novels.

How exactly is the original Metroid 2 the worst in the series? Whoever thinks that must have never played Hunters. My hand is still cramped.

That's not even counting Greg Kasavin, who left at the beginning of 07. This is pretty painful, because gamespot used to lead the way with harsh reviews, video reviews (before they were common), and community. Now they're a joke. Why not just have the PR people pitch the games instead of reviews?

Overall, nice list. I just wish someone would recognize Everyday Shooter - it was the best downloadable/flash game this year in my book. Is it just me, or does everyone have to have their one "small" game in their top 10? It must be the "new black".
