I love the graphics and music but I'm sick of the Metroidvania gameplay. Give me old-school, linear Castlevania gameplay coupled with the present aesthetic and I'll be perfectly happy.

I wish it was easier to play import Wii games. That said, I'm praying this is released on PS3 so I can easily import it.

Dragon Quest gets my vote. FF 1-6 are all brilliant but after that the series started to lose my interest. All of the pouty, pretty characters start to blend together. The DQ games use a simplified battle system and tend to be shorter, which I prefer.

I played Dragon Warrior on the NES and then revisited it on Dragon Warrior I & II on the Gameboy Color. I also played 3 on the Gameboy Color. I paid off DQIV last night. I cannot wait.

The GBA was a truly great system. I still bring my Micro with me in case I need to get in some King of Fighters EX2. Minish Cap is one of my favorite Zelda games. My all-time favorite strategy games are on the GBA, as well - Advance Wars (the first one) and Zone of the Enders: Fist of Mars were both fantastic.

I have never tried a traditional RPG in Japanese but I've successfully played several SRPGs in Japanese, including the SD G Generation series and Front Mission First. I actually own Front Mission in both Japanese and English.

I absolutely despise FPS games. I prefer action RPGs and SRPGs over traditional RPGs. Most modern RPGs worry too much about padding the play time in order to be able to brag about how long the game is. If I had to choose one, I'd say RPG.

But I prefer platformers, shmups and 2D fighters.

Ikaruga is my favorite; though Bangaio (N64), Mischief Makers and Sin & Punishment are practically neck and neck with it.

Tetris DS, Prof. Layton and Phantom Hourglass. I loved finding faster ways through the tower as I unlocked new abilities. Tetris is probably my most played DS game, both online and offline. Nothing matches the challenge of a good Tetris game.

Kill the shoulder buttons. I would prefer 6 face buttons.
