Dear Alex,

As far as christianity is concerned I think christians should take more active responsiblity when it comes to things that are not right. There are a number of things that you may not know that really happen to people and that also can be damaging.

I have witnessed people whom have been hurt by rape and pedophiles. Please get more education on the subject because one day God may even use you to really help someone out. Bible college won't necessarily be useful unless you truly have the word in you.

Bible college is only useful if you plan on getting your degrees to get into the area you want to go into. The church needs a true revival and not the kind of junk I have witnessed taking place. I am not even going to get into that because I am still trying to understand what is happening my self.

My experiences have taken me through the church and churches and I have learnt about things that the bible mostly taught me. I have no bible college experience.

I had a sister who spent years in bible college and there were a number of things that she had experienced that didn't teach her what she truly needed to know. Now she is backslidden today as a result of not putting her faith in the right place.

One thing that believers should take an active role in is the law system. I am Canadian and I am shocked at some of our laws that we have that don't truly protect our children.

If you are Americian then the laws may differ but still it's something that even christians should be concerned about as well because even if you or I don't have children ourselves we still will be held accountable by God.

I was shocked when I found out that the age of consent is 14 years old here in Canada and I think personally the age of consent should be increased because it allows Sexual Exploitation of minors.

I have heard about this in the news and it's horrible that we continue to allow this and it starts with us as individuals to get these laws to be changed.

Also please note that even these dirty people can also be in a church so even people who are apart of a church aren't safe either. The police caught a guy who was on line and could have gotten to a younger child and it was found that he was a pastor! Shocking isn't that? I read about it at least less then a year ago.

It's not just the catholic church either it's also evangelical churches of various denominations. I have done some research on line and I am shocked that many churches in the States of various denominations this is happening in.

That's why I never put my faith in pastors. My faith is in Christ alone. I pray that the Lord will deal with people who do such things and that the church is cleanned up.

I don't trust very many people my self because also I was raped in my teens (was in the wrong place at the wrong time) and I understand the type of damage that it does to a person so therefore I am all for these pedophiles being caught and that justice is served.

I have been through group counseling and one person's child I know of could have been hurt. (I can't give all the details because it's personal.) I prayed that the woman and her child and that the creep would get the justice he deserves and I thank God that he hears and answers prayers.

I have known people personally in the work place where one women confided in me that her child was raped by a pedophile in her neighborhood. It nearly ripped her and her family apart.

I pray for her and her family and I hope that this girl will be able to function well around men. It does damaging things to relationships with good honest people. I have been around much pain and witnessed it from my own personal experience.

If any thing the gaming community has to look out for kids that play video games. I think that there should be much more in regards to safety online and also making sure that children who do play online.

Parents should look after their children to keep them away from danger. We all should do our part to insure the safety of children and their well being so they don't get hurt.
