Tabulator: Xbox Live Video Marketplace vs. Apple TV

Jan 16th 2008 9:17PM (Joystiq)
Fortunately, Apple don't market their products at retards such as yourself. That is why you THINK they blow. Either that or you don't know anything about computers.

Call of Duty 4 engages Mac OS X this May

No, let us be honest Mr.ESC, you have been owned three times now so quit making things up in an attempt to reserve your already lost respect and integrity.

"And again, shucks, crappy design. The laptop only has an 80 GB hard drive, so eating it away with an install plus the CD image (or DVD image) is going to chew away at available space, further limiting what the machine can do.

Designed for image, not functionality."

Shucks, with my 2 year-old PowerBook that sports an 80GB hard drive, I do this on a regular basis. Ah, I also have a .Mac account that enables me to go "Back To My Mac" and utilise the hard drive space there too.

Is it me or is Joystiq full of commenters that "pretend" to know technology, development, etc. who are also below the age of 16? If you're commenting like LaughingTarget here and you're above the age of 16 (or past the teenager stage) you've got major issues.

Shucks, you non-Mac users didn't realise that you can create a disk-image of any CD (.dmg) and play any disc-based game from the Mac itself without having the disk inserted.

Again, what a little research could do, eh?

Help Steve Jobs prepare for his MacWorld keynote

You do realise that Maddox has been publicly owned and humiliated with his warped view on Mac OS X and the Mac range of computers? It's the most funniest thing I've witnessed in fucking ages and this is coming from a PC/Mac user.

Unreal Tournament III on Macs early 2008

Jan 5th 2008 9:10AM (Joystiq)
I am a Mac owner and I am a gamer on both the Mac and the PS3. If there is a Windows-only game, I just load up parallels and run the game and it runs perfectly fine on the highest settings. It will do as this iMac I have is built for video editing. I just don't do ATi cards as I am an nVidia man hence why video editing and gaming is perfect on my Mac.

I am enjoying the amount of absolute ignorance that the majority of these comments portray. I mean, those that game on Windows using a PC still believe that us Mac users cannot play games. I mean, seriously, lol. It just goes to show that the majority of PC users that play games are actually not that clued up about computers.

24 hours of Leopard: Tabbed Terminal

Oct 25th 2007 6:56PM (TUAW.com)
I can't say that I am jumping at this one (I don't use Terminal much) but anything to do with enhancing a UI, especially given the nature of this app's UI and now its Leopard update; things can only get better and more efficient! Go you Terminalholics!

O/T: Considering the UK will have its Leopard Launch Party in its Apple Stores a few hours before those in the US, would you be looking for photos of the events?

BONG! Welcome to Macintosh

@ face

I'm quite certain Christina Warren stated, "I have been using the Mac since 1995" and it is only recently she has become a full-time switcher, thus meaning she's using OS X as her primary operating system. Hopefully you'll not pinch too much salt otherwise you'll misread all of Christina has to say.

Welcome to TUAW, Christina. Enjoy yourself!
