In Europe, we never got a full backwards compatible model, only the one with one of the chips removed, also it came out almost a 1/2 year after the US.
And when BC removal was announced, it wasn't all that long before you couldn't even buy the BC model, every shop you went in only had the 40gb non BC.

Just seemed like a tactic to clear old stock quickly, just like the recent dropping of support for other OS. Hell, what will they drop if they make an even thinner model.

I'll wait to see what Dragon Age is like on the PS3, might get one then if its any good, just loath to have yet another box under my TV.

What usually happened is that the people that you kitted up with cloaks left to join guilds that were already progressing into BWL, it was harder for newer guilds to get a foothold in BWL because of it.

I'm a current PS2 owner hopeing that Sony see sense and re-release a deluxe model PS3 that includes all the extras again (BC, loads of USBs + card readers, Other OS Support). I believe that they removed the BC feature far too quickly and after such a short announcment.

I really love games like Rogue Galaxy and ICO, some of the best games ever made, and the thought of them being upscaled on a PS3 does sound good, (my PS2 looks terrible on my HDTV).

If it was anyone other than Bioware, I'd probably agree.
But remember, this IS Bioware, if anyone can pull it off and create an amazing game, it would be them.
I'll reserve my final judgement for when I see the finished product.

Hopefully we'll see lower Karazhan being introduced, would make sense from a lore perspective and would offer more of the same from Kara (great place).

So who collects the license money for games produced for this unified console? The very idea is unworkable as developers will end up licensing from the cheapest company (Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft or whoever) which would leave little incentive for the other companys to stick their name to the 'unicon'.

Never happen successfully in a million years.
