What Is Christopher Nolan Doing With 'Superman'?

Feb 10th 2010 7:49AM (Scifi Squad)
If you want a fun and awesome Superman movie, get John Favre to direct. If you want a mentally complex and awesome Superman movie, get Christopher Nolan to direct.

Microsoft announces Game Room for Xbox 360

Jan 6th 2010 11:58PM (Engadget)
@bigdonny Difference is, I never called any of it dumb when it was only for the Xbox. I welcome their additions to the PS3, I like the PSN Store better than XBLM and I think Trophies are more rewarding than Achievements. On the other hand I also feel like this "Game Room" gimmick improves on Sony's Home as well.

But what you fail to recognize is my main point, that Xbox fanboys were laughing at Home but now they have their own version that they will ultimately defend. Foolish.

Playstation 3 already has this. It's called Home. 360 fanboys laughed at it then but of course will praise it now.

Pink Palm Pixi spotted on Sprint system, Cupid is like 'boomshakalaka'

Jan 4th 2010 8:21AM (Engadget)
I think that if a pink Pixi does get released, Palm will see success with it. There was a girl who temped at my job who had a pink Centro and loved it because it was "cute". If I know of one person like that, their must be more out there. I think Palm should release more colors for the Pixi as well. Go fucking nuts with it. Treat the Pixi as the kid/chick/non-"pro" webOS phone and focus on beefing up the Pre as much as possible.

Verizon loading up on 600,000 Pixis soon?

Jan 1st 2010 2:08PM (Engadget Mobile)
can't wait for webOS to hit more markets. It just means more users and more potential support for apps and anything else. I'll just be pretty god damn jealous if VZW people get a Pre with more storage.

Engadget now available for Pre and Pixi: the first webOS app of 2010 (and 1000th in the Catalog)!

Commenting from the app. While listening to the latest podcast. This is a really nice app that makes it feel like I could use it by itself without ever visiting the full site again.

Hardware accelerated 'Doom' comes to the Pre

Dec 31st 2009 11:42AM (Engadget)
@Rollins With the apps that have been coming out for webOS, while most of them are shit, a lot of them seem like they're at least trying to pull off something of a higher quality. Especially with games like Word Ace, Paratrooper and Tilt GT. Even some iPhone games have been ported like Zombie Invasion and Oh My Word 2.

I think that once the Pre is capable of pulling off hardware accelerated games and apps, the App Catalog will be a strong competitor to at least the Android Market. The App Store is pretty much untouchable at this point, at least in terms of quantity, and definitely in the case of marketing. Fast Food chains, Major Banks, etc. just aren't rushing to release apps on the Android Market like they are for the iPhone. Hopefully we'll see the Catalog flourish with some higher quality stuff soon.

I've never owned or heavily used an Android phone, but have played with a Hero in Sprint store's on occasion just to get a feel for it. I feel like there aren't many games that are showcased to compete with apps available for the iPhone. This is where I hope Palm comes in and tries to fill that gap.
