'Nintendo Active Health' trademark inspires idle speculation

Jan 13th 2009 10:27PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
What if Active Health turned out to be, like, a Balance Board walk through ballparks of Mario Super Sluggers, wherein the objective is to snap pictures of Pokemon. YES.

Wii Fanboy Review: Sandy Beach

"...you are forced to use what is supposed to be a scooping motion, but most often resolves as a desperate shake of the Wiimote, accompanied by cursing and rage"

This is a meta-comment about the many Wii games that have failed to understand gesture control. I have felt that rage, my friend.

It's-a Mario World: Classic Secrets

Yeah, Torepedo Ted was a mystery to me at first, too. I'm actually just now playing the Super Mario Advance games on GBA for the first time, and I love them. The interface in general is just much better, and besides being able to save anywhere on the world map, the extra content like the added Advance coins in SMB2 is great.

It's-a Mario World: Infuriating Items

Airplanes were good fun, and I think the idea of an adventure mode was really well-implemented in DKR. But for as much as I liked the Rare-developed set of characters, it never topped Mario Kart at the end of the day.

Falling back to second or third place (whether deliberately or not) is sometimes the best strategy. Luigi Circuit is one of the courses in which items heavily influence the outcome, mostly because it's such an easy course to race. This is why I prefer the more elaborate courses like Rainbow Road--there is more room for error, and the more skilled players tend to come out ahead.

I think that's a valid response, yes. All of them can be annoying depending on your tolerance and temper.

I have a tendency to break my game disc in half at the slightest banana slip.
