The Irish Film Board is in Jeopardy

Darren's ashamed that while people are suffering from this global recession that they will stop taxing the Irish citizens to fund movies?

Ron Paul Revolution Drafted to Aid Tibet

Mar 17th 2008 5:15PM (Politics Daily)
Some Paulites might argue that we shouldn't intervene militarily or via trade. They'd say, "Did Europe intervene during the Civil War?" or something to that effect.

A Parting Look at Ron Paul's Veracity

Feb 12th 2008 7:33PM (Politics Daily)
The ignorance of this post, and FactCheck.org, astounds me. First of all, FactCheck claims Paul would save a trillion dollars, this is not so. He said hundreds of billions. When you add up everything we do oversees, from foreign aid to 700 bases to Iraq to Afghanistan, it adds up to one trillion dollars. This is not an exageration of the truth.

Secondly, a NAFTA highway is far from a "conspiracy theory". Otherwise, I seem to lack any understanding as to why Texas, Nevada, and the US Congress have passed legislation forbidding funds for such a project. They all must be conspiracy theorist, too. Oh, and when government websites and the CFR state they are planning to have a highway, that's just a conspiracy too. They put that on their sites to throw people off.

And the Revolution is far from "dead". AHHH Gotta love ignorance!

Who Said What? Homophobe/Racist Edition

Ron Paul didn't write those hateful words. Nice try, but if you are trying to be a journalist or even a blogger here, you aren't doing a very productive job.

Learn what he really thinks for a change.

Oh, and why the hell would you want a racist to have 500 dollars to use towards evil? It makes no sense to me.

Hot Seat: Lincoln Wrong to Fight Civil War?

Dec 26th 2007 7:51PM (Politics Daily)
A lot of people are indoctrinated that Abe was the best man ever, and that the Civil War was a much needed war. Of course people won't like what he has to say, even if it is true. I think it's certainly a debatable topic. The war was fought to keep the Union, both North and South benefited from slave labor.

But ya.

Ron Paul's War

Dec 26th 2007 7:20PM (Politics Daily)
He didn't say slavery was the main issue of the Civil War. Tim said,

"But we'd still have slavery!"

And we wouldn't have. Also, the North benefited from slavery, too.

From what I understand, it was about unfair tariffs and such things the South had to put up with. They thought they had the right to break away from the Union, some believe they still should have been able to, but Lincoln decided to make the federal government that much bigger.

Also, what does this have to do with being the President today? At least God isn't telling him we should go to war.

What Is a Ron Paul Republican?

Dec 13th 2007 7:20PM (Politics Daily)
1) We call ourselves Americans.
2) When he loses? Stop trying to predict the future, thanks.

A Bunny Ranch, Tucker Carlson & Ron Paul...

Nov 26th 2007 2:54PM (Politics Daily)
Um, first of all, that wasn't an endorsement conference. That was just a press conference, and the media decided to gah over the dude since he was there (thanks, tucker!)

Ron Paul "Dark Horse of the Year," Claims GQ

Nov 21st 2007 2:08PM (Politics Daily)
7/8% in New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina
6% in Iowa
5% in Florida
6% nationally

He's about to skyrocket once he hits double ;). I think Huckabee is media created, it didn't start until Bill Clinton and Newt pretty much said "he's the darkhorse!" Then the media was all over him, then Mike decided to live in Iowa, and here we are.

How Did a Movie Help Ron Paul Raise Over $4 Million?

Nov 6th 2007 5:49PM (News Bloggers)
Serious about getting rid of of the IRS, yes. He doesn't talk about abolishing the FBI (he did in 1988), but the CIA. And people seem to keep thinking the CIA=intelligence. We have hundreds of intelligence gathering groups, what the CIA does is something that keeps hurting America (overthrowing democratic governments like in Iran back in the 50s, funding and training people like Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein in the 80s, etc.)

His ideas aren't radical once you understand what he is saying. We don't need to be an empire nor the policeman of the world. We can save money from overseas and give it to those who depend on the government like social security and such. Cut taxes, balanced budget, federalism (states' rights). I mean, it's not too radical for traditional Republicans. Doesn't anyone remember Robert Taft, Barry Goldwater, and Ronald Reagan?
