Report: Capcom sees 'no distinction' between on-disc and off-disc DLC

Apr 3rd 2012 11:04AM (Joystiq)
@KINGxTIM

The sad thing is, though, you don't really know if the company is bad or is just paying the ransom money. There are a lot of companies with A ratings on the BBB who just pay to clean it up. It's not really a positive for the consumer, but instead just leads them to a false sense of security with a company that could just be paying for a good rating.

I think it's great to post complaints on the BBB or anyplace else you can get the word out, but I just don't want people thinking that a Good BBB rating = good company or even that a Bad BBB rating = Bad Company.

Ugh, the BBB! Why do people talk about this company?

For anyone who may care to know, the BBB is a blackmailing mafia of a corporation. Many think it's some kind of business monitoring government agency, but really it's a company who's business practice is reduced to blackmailing.

Anyone can lodge a complain against any company through the BBB. The BBB posts that complaint and assigns the company a letter grade that goes down as people complain. The only way to get that grade to go up is to dispute the complaint (like Capcom did in the story), however the companies have to pay to become a member in order to dispute the claims. It's like having a bulletin board up in a locked glass case. Anyone can post on the bulletin board about you, but you have to pay me $5 to remove anything somebody posted.

Leaderboard: Lockboxes yea vs. lockboxes nay

While i rarely ever roll the dice with lockboxes, i think they are fine for people who do want to take that chance.

My problem with lockboxes is that they always clog up my storage space, which is usually pretty limited for F2Ps.
