Wii60. But if I got a free HDTV, I could afford the PS3, too.

Lubbock, TX: No luck.

Here's the report from West Texas.

Due to some cricumstances beyond my control I couldn't get to the South Plains Mall in Lubbock, TX, until 9:45 am. By then, I was number 13 in line. The manager arrived, saying they had 8 (they had 7 PS3s). I took off for an EB across town, which had 8 (I was # 9 in that line). I went back to the mall, irritated. The manager called around, and found that Plainview (40 miles north) had 8 left.

After a half hour drive, I got to Plainview, which then had 6 left. I reserved mine, another person from Lubbock arrived (leaving 4) and reserved one.

The South Plains Mall store was in the top 5 stores in terms of reserve numbers for Halo 2, but apparently that wasn't considered for PS3 or Wii allocations.

Anyway, I got mine, despite the half hour road trip.

Me + no HDTV = No CableCard.

I'd probably try it if I had an HDTV with a cablecard slot.

if I had an HDTV, my answer would be ATSC. Since I am HD-less, my xbox360 cries at night.
