I'm surprised, because I find navigating and patiently waiting for apps to load on the xbox not worth the time. My Xbox is more or less a pure gaming machine, aside from the odd time when I decide to have youtube on the big screen. Which is itself a pain in the arse navigating. Though I keep hearing praise over Netflix and the ilk. Almost tempted to try.

I make a concious effort to avoid anything angry bird related; what's the big feckin' deal with it? It stole the concept of countless internet flash games and inexplicably turned into an over-bloated franchise. I kinda let my guard down going on this article purely just to complain about it, but there you go. Angry Birds is the bane of the gaming industry. Because I said so.

Got the demo and was slightly underwhelmed... But my expectations were really sky high. Still brilliant aesthetic (except the furry characters... ugh) and will deffo get it soon. But man, I sucked at it. Grade C in the story portion and couldn't get past the octopod boss thing in the arcade trial bit.

@bustermachine42069 Agreed. People are now coming to negative conclusions about a game they haven't even tried yet (because they can't) purely because this incident. Whilst it was previously viewed by the gamer community as something innovative, having 90% of people going back on this and saying 'oh, it's just a cave story with a 3d gimmick', 'glorified tech demo' etc. just seems a bit fallacious and far too cynical. This is an example of people being fickle minded - which annoys me, because many people are going to end up ostracising what I feel will be a great game.

Honestly though, all games are derivitve, and whilst of course, his comment on Japan games coould've had far more tact, I don't see the hypocrisy in taking inspiration from OLDER Japanese games; and emphasis on older since his disparaging comment was in reference to recent Japanese games

People seem to be missing the fact that they're looking at what is potentially a brilliant revival of the side scrolling shooter with spectacular graphics and aesthetic.

@NathanDTS It is meant to be humorous, you know. Anyway, this game looks like the shit; it's a pity my laptop will in no way run it, or I'd preorder and get the alpha right now.
