Yeah, the z-axis is a little tricky; I spent a long time trying to jump down between layers last night. Awesome game, but it can be a little touchy at times; good level design can help with the problem.

Which translation, I wonder?

I'll be using Frederick Rebsamen's 2004 version. I tried to memorize for some old English busking, but only managed to get a couple of pages down. It's a great poem, with lots of interesting surprises. For example, one of the compliments given to Beowulf by the author is "drunk, he slew no hearth companions". What a nice guy! Even when he was drunk, he didn't kill his friends. Class act, that Beowulf. Definitely _not_ a drunken murderer.

My ps3 just recently stopped working, and I had to send it in. The customer service guy said exactly the right thing when I told him my ps3 wouldn't turn on: "That sucks" (or something equivalent). Anyway, I've had no problems with the warranty process, even though I lost the receipt. Should be back any day now, and then back to warhawk.
