This stuff is only the better for Gaming and will be super rad for future boxing games. The face mapping is pretty slick.
EA's Neil Young talks Revolution
May 2nd 2006 3:51AM (Joystiq Nintendo)Some important things to note however are that Gyration the company that Nintendo purchased a big chunk of in 2004 (for the Gyro controller patents) Gyration has got a wicked RF Mouse and Keyboard combo avaialble now its sitting in the goddamn warehouse just waiting to be painted white!

The revolution should have a KB interface very soon after release or at least as soon as it is required. It would work amazingly for FPS and Bloody well for RPG / RTS / MMO. I would guess the easiest way to play an MMO would be with multiple controllers per person. Almost in a pick up put down state depending on the task.
The most difficult part is figuring out which buttons make the Mockup controller I have playable, once you figure out useful button to controller mapping there really is no problem what soever playing in fact its much easier using a N64 thumbstick than WASD.
The Accelerometer is more like a sideways scroll mouse IMO anyway. But it is more than welcome.
I hope to see web browsing ability from my Wii. It will have wireless controllers and 50 foot range why the hell shouldn't I be able to access the internet through it. The controller is just like a mouse should be ace.
I also would guess there is a mic inside the Freehand controller. Sorting through hundreds of back catalog games will be much easier with voice recognition.
• Mario filters by games with Mario in the title or Game wave the controller at it and start playing.
Silly EA the controller is wicked for pretty much eveything and rather intuitive with time.
I play standing up with my right arm by my side flicking my wrist left and right for sideways turning.
I predict that this Wii-Mote controller will not only Revolutionise FPS but 3D Platformers as well.
Being able to control Mario with the left thumb stick and what he is looking at with the Right hand remote ftw!
I really hope Nintendo have a finished Revolution Mario 3D platformer sorted for display at E3, if they showed a decent Mario 3D title along side people and how they were playing it (video of the controller movements which is pretty damn important or you doubt its being played as described =)
I think that just like me and most everyone else who has played with a Gyro, they are filled with ideas they are unsure how to implement across the board.
Gyroscopic Power Glove revisited
May 2nd 2006 12:35AM (Joystiq)have been practising game setups with POP Quake Mario Bros UT and
quite a few other games. I don't mind the whole glove setup it looks
pretty good but as mentioned its a bit surperfluous (Functional but a
bit big) Here is my non Glove Gyro Setup and a video of some Quake 3Wii.

360/720 Pad and Rocket Spin gumping gets really easy and really fun, I
move a bit better than he does but I have been practising longer for
more plus it seems he is being a a bit careful with the glove hand
as I would be if I had just hacked a gyro mouse into it. http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/9528/quake3wii8xi.jpg
