You never know, maybe those IW executives saw all that loot and decided to try and break off to go on their own, taking some employees with them- maybe someone at Activision got wind of it and brought down the hammer.
Don't waste the money on mortgages, give every adult making below, say $65k a year, a free, American made car- tax free- which they can keep, sell, etc. Gives lots of money to the auto industry, upgrades so many vehicles to more modern emission and safety standards, we spend less money on gas each year, and confidence takes a huge jump. Jobs created to make all those new cars as well as recycling the old ones. Contract awarded to each of the Big Three assuming each can present a plan of action moving past the old ways of doing things. Infusion of cash would help them head in that direction.
There is something to be said about police who can stay at top form and leap into action chasing someone on a segway vs. racing around on a bike. Not sure how big a difference it might make, the cop might be afraid to leave it if the guy starts jumping fences. :)
Like has been said, you may as well start somewhere. My opinion is unless there is realistic support for hardcore physics calculations in *EVERY* machine, be it console or PC, quality physics support effecting real game play is quite a ways off. You can't very well have an environment where certain physics calculations allow one player a disadvantage over the other player who can't support it. Just like most games on a PC don't create gameplay from fancy visual effects- you'd be creating huge balance issues one way or another. It'll be a gimick for a while, at least as far as any sort of multiplayer environment goes.
