Actually I think I read somewhere that they did this to teach him a lesson, since he was supposedly peaking for his presents. He got the actual 360 a few hours later. But still, that's pretty messed up.
Well #1, US sales charts are supposedly difficult to come by, but Japanese sales charts are released weekly and posted at http://www.gamesarefun.com after release usually. They're also posted here occasionally from what I've seen.
