Lichborne: Analyzing the proposed patch 4.3 death knight tanking changes

Sep 7th 2011 12:12PM (WoW)
You know what my issue with this is... WHATS THE POINT? Most of the DK tanks I see pump their damage up so high that they generate so much agro that there isn't a chance in hell even a properly spec'd out and knowledgeable Warrior or Paladin couldn't pull agro off of them. In my opinion DKs should be reduced to a DPS only class until Blizzard can figure out a way to balance out the tanking, people are dropping their old tanks which use to be staple classes in favor of the DKs because they take less work and know how to play, much similar to the Huntards "place forehead on keyboard, roll right, roll left, repeat." This all stems from the pre-cata rebalancing of how agro works, which unfortunately for classic tanking classes plays in the favor of Don't Knows more than them, due to the fact that Pallies and Warriors AOE sucks and the majority of the players grew up during the days when you could go all out on 15-20 mobs and all a tank had to do was look at them funny to maintain agro. Now if you want to maintain agro with the original tanking classes you have to resort back to classic playing style of a specific series of attacks in a specific order and have perfect timing on all of that and hope you don't have some idiot Warlock, Priest, or Mage come along and AOE agro off of you without trying, and they do this a lot. Classic tankers are becoming hard to find on my server because they're getting sick of being blamed for bad runs and being told by some idiot that they did the same thing with a Death Knight and he didn't lose agro. If Blizzard wants to fix things they need to fix them and stop with this BS making changes to things that won't actually have any major effects on what they are claiming to be fixing.

AT&T loses request for injunction against Verizon's Map for That ads

Nov 18th 2009 7:20PM (Engadget)
And again I point out the hypocritical nature of AT&T accusing Verizon of having misleading ads. They are the ones who go around advertising about roll-over minutes and the old minutes being as good as the new, and don't point out that the old minutes can't be accessed until the new minutes are all used, so fighting over and identifying old vs new minutes is mute, because you can't use the old minute anyway.

Activision couldn't help but sign on to help market 'Couples Retreat'

This is just a case of self interest product placement... Its no different than what Sony does by placing tons of their electronic products into their productions.

Universal and Activision are owned by the same parent company Vivendi Entertainment.

And yet the PSP 1000/2000/3000 are still better buys...

Z Corporation's ZPrinter 350 will create a 3D object of any color you want, so long as it is white

Then the people who are using it don't know what they are doing, because they do work perfectly find for rapid prototyping... you can get printers that are more accurate but they take longer, cost more, waste more, and are more hazardous, and they still can't create a fully working prototype.

This thing gives a similarly confusing error about loobing the print head track... and then you spend an hour trying to figure out how to do it before pulling out the manual and checking how it says to do it, which doesn't help much other than show you where the damb thing loobs at. But at 425lbs and 4'x2.75'x4.6', yes the thing is mostly air inside, you can't just take this thing out and smash it with a baseball bat.

LOL PC LOAD LETTER/LEGAL thank god they changed it to "Tray 1/2/3/etc. Empty - Load Letter/Legal/11x17/etc."

I found out its zp150 but I guess I misread (or misremembered) the information... it cures with water+epsom salt, its not as strong or vibrant of colors but it gives much whiter models, it is still compatible with the older cure materials though.

Sounds like you guys have the 450... At the college where I work we got information on a new powder and conversion for several of the systems, including the 450, which uses water as the primary binder and sealer, I would send you a link to it but if you've ever been to Z-Corp's site you know its mostly an ad to get you to buy the printer, its not there to actually promote stuff to current owners.

NES controller flash drive is Konami Code-protected

Oct 15th 2009 11:20AM (Joystiq)
Fairly imaginative use of a basic security function board and a switch, but unfortunately could have easily been done using the any number of other NES Controller USB PC Controller/Emulator (USB Drive) Mod Including

But instead of using joy stick controls (in the case of the first one) using the keyboard controls, and then password protecting the flash drive using the corresponding keyboard inputs as the password, and maintain the usability of the control pad in the process.
