Video: Hennessey Venom GT visits Jay Leno's Garage

Dec 6th 2010 5:36PM (Autoblog)
Even the guy from Hennessey sort of hesitates before giving that ridiculous price.

Oh the wondrous pieces of engineering you could have for 900k. I won't even include a list, I'll just say, Everything minus Veyron.

Sound off: New Xbox 360 Dashboard

@Lou3000

I do have to say though, I'm very happy with the fact that over the life of this console, I have seen 3 MAJOR revisions to the UI.

Blades, NXE, and now NXE-Kinect. Everytime they update the system it breathes new life into the console, almost like I got something for free.

Sound off: New Xbox 360 Dashboard

I'm not in love with the overwhelming whiteness of the dashboard and menus, and even though I like the new horizontal (rather than horizon) scrolling, the boxes are too big and take up the entire screen.

They could easily cut possibly 30-40% off of each text box and selection and still have an easily accessible user interface. Themes are essentially useless now.

Overall it seems much more modern and mature, but I haven't decided if i like that or not.

Panoz Abruzzi makes on-track appearance, gearing up for competition

I'd buy a Homer before I bought that.

Wow, just wow. The words don't exist to describe how awful that car is.

Infiniti still mulling halo sportscar model?

Oct 11th 2010 2:24PM (Autoblog)
A Infiniti ultra-lux sports car with GT-R underpinnings. Yes, please.

If the thing had the performance of a GT-R with super high grade interior styling, I think there would be a market for it. Keep it cheaper than a 911 turbo and they could have a huge winner.

That essence concept is gorgeous.

Though I do agree, the complete lack of a 7/S/LS competitor is probably more important.

GM: Yes, the Volt's gas engine can power the wheels

Oct 11th 2010 12:00PM (Autoblog)
So, its an overpriced Prius?

I understand that it is a far different system than most hybrids, but seriously, why even bother with this function. It sounds more like the GM engineers couldn't figure out how to make it efficient at high speeds so they gave up.

Still, 20k more for a car that just uses MORE electric than engine.

Paris 2010: Ferrari SA APERTA is a limited-edition homage to Pininfarina

This thing is awful looking. Just some tacky silver parts slapped onto a California. Ferrari is just phoning it in these days.

Almost any road bike over $5k has carbon fiber rims. The spokes are CF on that bike which is unique, but to be honest, a CF wheel is not always lighter.

Bloomberg: Lamborghini Estoque production hopes not dead, still under consideration

I'd take the Aston Martin Rapide over this.

BlackBerry Torch review

RIM is a victim of its own success. They became the defacto business device years ago because of their secure, reliable email system.

Now that every phone does email pretty well, to stay competitive, RIM has to make all-in-one consumer phones. This has never been RIM's strong suit nor focus. So why do we expect each RIM phone to be a competitor?

I played with the Storm when it came out, enough said.
