Jun 9th 2009 11:58AM (Joystiq)This is no different than how the NFL has an exclusive deal with Reebok to produce jerseys, but nobody is off suing them.
In my personal opinion I don't think that the issue here is so much that there is an exclusive NFL game, it's that it is being produce by EA. The company that it's trendy to hate for whatever reason.

Feb 2nd 2009 3:11PM (Joystiq Xbox)This is not your Master Chief's FPS Halo, this is your Captain Keyes RTS Halo. Instead of fragging elites with your assault rifle from the ground.... you're fragging Elites with your army from above.
Upon boot-up of the demo you are greeted with a wonderfully crafted opening cinematic (full Halo story is on display). Once you have watched the video and completed a simple tutorial, it's off to war you go.
Let's just get this out of the way, the presentation in Halo Wars is stunning. The graphics are superb without ever slowing down during frantic firefights, the sound effects feel as if they are coming straight from Halo 3, and the orchestral score is what you've come to know and love from the Halo series.
Once you've finished drooling, you will quickly come to love the easy controls and quick pace of combat. Building a unit and whisking him off to battle has never been so easy (or gratifying) in a console RTS. As opposed to numerous other titles, Halo Wars doesn't wait to get you into the action. You have a few brief moments to plan your attack, build accordingly, and execute. The battles are beautifully paced, and I think Ensemble has nailed the ingredients for a console RTS.
In summary, Halo Wars is what you expect from a traditional Halo title. Beautiful presentation, tight controls, and an addictive dedication to flat out 'fun' that will keep you coming back for more. Be sure to keep an eye out for the full game in March."
Is what I would probably say if given the opportunity to play the demo early. =P
