I was there Friday and the best day was Friday. I never knew what happened on the others days but I heard it was bad. If you're disappointing that you have to wait to play on Wii, for me, it was not. Since Wii was the big star of the show. There were like 50-60 people on Wiis. Basically, it was a good publicity.
I played on Zelda:TP like 15 minutes on 2 kiosks so 30 minutes of the game and it was awesome.
And yes, FYI food was shit. A slice of pizza and I had some nausea. Oh well, I was there for Wii and nothing else.
Wii has the Wiiconnect24 (it's not the online service. It's part of it. The online is still called Wi-FI Connection.). The WiiConnect 24 allows the console to be online 24/7 even if the console is off. It allows you to download things like new maps or updates when the console is on stand-by. The only way to stop this is to unplug the console.
Clint, the PSP and the PS3 also have gimmicks. The UMD, Blu-Ray, the motion sensors on a PS2 controller for PS3, the E-distributive,...If you call XBL as a gimmick then the all the online plan for the PS3 is a gimmick.
Dude, if don't know what you're talking about, just STFU.
The Wii is the winner. You can play all the Midway and Namco arcade games on compilation. If I want to play on Pac-Man, I use the Namco 50th Anniversary from the GC. I want to play Gauntlet or smash TV, I play them on Midway Arcade Treasures.
Pac-Man cost $5 on XBLA. I pay $1.42 for the game on the compilation on GC. Namco 50th cost me $20 Canadian for 14 games.
Remember the Wii is fully backwards compatible to GC games.
My money is on the Virtual console. I want to see their new games.
$100 is good if the Dreamcast has 20-25 games with the console. Dreamcast rules. I really blamed Sony to say that people must have waited for the PS2 and not have waited for the Dreamcast.

Jul 18th 2006 2:34PM (Joystiq)I don't care about the Friends Code. I really think it will be a unique Friends code not like the DS. 1 Universal FC will be ok.
Bring the old games on the VC with the online compatibility and I'll kick your a$$es at Mario Kart 64.
