As far as I know, the Easy mode is faster, but the Standard mode gets more hectic once all the property has been bought out.

I'll be going for it.
I'm a huge fan of Culdcept, where you spend 1-3 hours just to lose and feel like you've wasted your life --- but you play it again anyways because it's awesome: Gameplay time doesn't affect me too much.
