Woolworths buy stock off EUK, EUK off publishers. Woolworths cant afford to pay back EUK, EUK cant afford to pay back publishers. Its a knock on effect. But for the places that dont go via EUK (GAME, Gamestation, independents), its a massive boost, as publishers are now forced to redirect all that stock via these outlets
This is the second time this has happened. Before, it was a pricing error at the time they offered a full refund on any item bought that was mis-priced on the shelf. Apparently they forgot to check the till and shelf prices didnt match up on electronic goods.
Still, they make a loss on all game related goods anyway, so I guess they're used to it
