Had my iPad 2 for about a week now. My biggest app is Instapaper. Basically, instead of spending upwards of 15 minutes in Reeder on my iPhone (3GS for those who care), I'm spending roughly 5 minutes reading quick articles and sending the longer/interesting ones to Instapaper so I can read them in one go on the iPad later.

Laziness, Imaptience, and Hubris, the 3 principle virtues of a programmer. Copying and pasting is a task that can be automated and therefore should.

Seriously. I can see Apple giving Lala a facelift and rebranding it as "Mobile iTunes" or "iTunes Pass" or something like that. Though they probably won't be able to just re-launch the service as-is. If they really do have to re-negotiate the streaming deals, you KNOW the record labels are going to try to squeeze every last penny out of Apple that they can... /sigh

But as someone excited about Lala's promise, this new development makes me very happy. :)

I've been using BibleGateway.com mostly; they haven't specifically targeted the iPhone but the site doesn't look too bad on it. It'd be nice to have something that works offline, though!

Nice to see the apology, guys. More than anything I was disappointed when I read the article, so it's nice to see you have the guts to apologize and own up to your mistakes. This is still one of my favorite sites, and you continually manage to prove that "professional blogging" isn't an oxymoron. The fact that you have standards in place to not simply delete your mistakes but correct them and apologize for them is very encouraging.
