Jul 15th 2008 1:39AM (Joystiq)That said, I'm really liking the look of the new interface, more fluid and organic. The blades always felt cramped to me, not too sure why.
I do have one complaint though, based on those screens. Do all of the games really need the xbox 360 box top to them? I would think that if I were looking at playable games, you know, ON my 360, ON xbox live, I would kind of know what system they're for?

Jun 25th 2008 3:48AM (Joystiq)Yes it became repetitive, but at least in my experience it wasn't until at least halfway through. GTA IV becomes repetitive as well, it only presents itself in a more unique way every time, which is part of what makes it a better game, but Assassin's Creed was certainly not a bad game.
The ending I thought was fascinating, and was actually the best video game ending I've ever played. It was completely unexpected (how is that inherently a bad thing?), left you wanting more (like a previous post reminded people, most movies do the same). In addition, without spoiling it for those who haven't played, I invite those who have finished the game to look-up what all of the "markings" are, what they mean, and what can be implied by them. Regardless of whether their meanings make it in the sequel or not, they're extremely interesting in and of themselves.
All in all, the game was not perfect, and was not worthy of a game of the year, but it was pretty darn good and I'm very excited for a sequel.
