Mass Effect 3 'Extended Cut' DLC free this summer, offers 'further clarity to the ending'
Apr 5th 2012 9:31AM (Joystiq)Sorry. Complaining about everything has become a reflex.

And frankly, that's all they should feel any pressure to do. Maybe give us a little bit of an epilogue so that we can see that the galaxy continues to spin, and that Garrus isn't doomed to die on a planet where they have the wrong food, and...
But I don't expect or want them to change the endings or provide new ones.
Feeling the 'Intensity' of Kid Icarus: Uprising
Mar 21st 2012 11:37AM (Joystiq)I wasn't aware that Famitsu was the last word on what makes a perfect game.
There are more than enough reviews complaining about the awkward/painful control scheme that some caution is justified. Mass Effect 3 director defends DLC, endings with 'common sense'
Mar 15th 2012 7:50AM (Joystiq)Wait... after your histrionic "I'm never buying a Bioware game again! (runs upstairs and slams bedroom door)", you're telling someone else they're a troll?

Mass Effect 3 director defends DLC, endings with 'common sense'

What happens in movies is they focus-test the story to death until they settle on some universally acceptable Hollywood happy ending, so that every movie is tailor-made for the lowest common denominator.
Whether I find the ending sad or incomplete is irrelevant. I'm glad that gaming hasn't yet bent to the same pressures that Hollywood has. The last thing we need is every story being told to satisfy the tastes of hooting and hollering masses.

Mar 5th 2012 3:20PM (Joystiq)Clearly Android users aren't. I don't know why this company deliberately limits its audience. When asked, the wiseasses can't offer anything but the following on their website:
"Despite what you may have heard, Android is a total dead-end for a complex project & a tiny team like ours. It wouldn't just be unwise, it would be irresponsible."
What the hell does that even mean?
New Hawken gameplay teaser doesn't look like an indie game
Mar 5th 2012 12:22PM (Joystiq)That's a little unfair. They got that money *because* the game looked so incredible.
