Best Buy thinks Diablo 3 is coming out on February 1, 2012 [updated]

The Math isn't adding up. (trust me guys I want this to be right too...but the math is off)

I'm assuming that the number is "seconds" :

25031614 seconds
~ 417193 minutes
~ 6953 hours
= 289 days????

That can't be right if it's Feb"u"rary of this year??

Something up we're all being trolled.....god I want it to be true...but that math can't even be remotely right.

Activision sends cease-and-desist to Skylanders hacker

@Jypsy - No disagreements to him saying he was going to "hack" their toy and make it so you don't have to buy any more. That use of the knowledge is wrong, as it directly impacts their business.

But how is it wrong to teach other people how you are doing something? So it's ok for me in my own home to show my buddy how I took something apart and how it works, but it's wrong me for me to tell all my friends at once on a website blog how I'm doing it? Just because the rate of people learning how it works is "slower" makes it ok? That logic makes no sense to me.

@maxwell97 - Grey line. Yea so it's not quite relevant in "this" case for him to "make something out of it". But you stretch the law (just like SOPA is) to cover this, and anyone who tries to do the same to actually MAKE a decent new product won't be able to. Where do you draw the line? Who is right where that line should be? That's the problem with this.

And you don't think the MDCA has flaws too? Stretching their "law" a little to liberally as well? So they add a line in that says "well if I put a thousand 'locks' around what I do and you break through it to figure out how it works then THAT is illegal!".......he owns the product. Said and done. That would be like giving me a car, and putting a different key lock on the hood to my engine. And if I break into it to see how it works or fix it the manufacturer could "sue" me because now they can't make money on me going to their dealers to get it fixed. You see the slippery slope you're treading? It's not a good trend we're going down.

You know, I REALLY hate these arguments. How do you think ANYTHING that we use today came about? It was people looking at at a product, figuring out how it works, and then creating something new from that knowledge. Welcome to free market guys...that's how it works. He bought a product. Took it apart, and then figured out how it worked. He owns the product...he can legally do that. He then shared online how it worked. THAT part is not illegal. Anyone can take apart what they own and figure out how it works. Companies that try to tell you otherwise are using scare tactics or flexing their big arms as bullies.

Yes people do bad things with knowledge, but you can't punish everyone for the small few (Anyone know what SOPA is? YEA same damn thing), otherwise you are going to lose innovation and forward progress. If they gave him a cease and desist for working on a website to HACK their game and cause it to go bad for others that pay for the game...THAT would make more sense. Not a cease and desist for figuring out how their product works.

Should the creator of "Bleech" get told they can't make it any more because people could potentially make "bombs" out of it? Thin grey line everyone is walking.....scary world we live in today that people believe in this BS.

11% of gamers have unopened games, survey shows

Movies? yes. Collector thing, and never got a chance to re-watch them. Saw them in theaters and haven't watched since I bought them.

Games? No, but I have a HORRIBLE habit for not FINISHING the games I buy. Call it ADD, but new things come out and I want to play them. The game has to REALLY hook me to get me to play it from start to finish without buying another game in between. Only a few handful have every accomplished that. But I attribute this to a ton of good games coming out.

Penny Arcade doles out criticism of Assassin's Creed criticism

Honestly, I believe Gabe nailed it on the money. When I read the reviews right before I bought the game, I was a bit shocked. After GETTING the game, now I understand why they went the way they did. Honestly it's all about what people were "expecting". Not about what was "hyped", because all Ubisoft told you was, "you are an assassin and you will kill people". They didn't tell you about the world. They kept the story hidden very well. So most reviewers let their mind wander about what they thought it SHOULD be, instead of what it IS. This caused most of the bad reviews. Then Gabe is right, because I'm not rushing to play this game and I'm enjoying the crap out of it. I'm taking the time to learn the controls, and I COMPLETELY disagree with the whole "you can only do one thing" comments I've been seeing. I've already killed the first mark in at least 3 different ways. Yes THREE different ways. One running right in as they suggested. One doing it the way they game wants you to by sneaking in. And then AGAIN BEFORE you should normally be able to kill him.

So yea.....the reviewers this time around are WAY WAY off their mark. I've been learning to Gamefly games before hand if I'm unsure, and learn to make my OWN review about a game.
